Cofreth is an investor and operator of DCS technology, with the financial strength and ability to finance capital expenditure, installations and reticulations under Built, Operate and Transfer (BOT) or Built, Operate and Own (BOO).

In certain installations, Thermal Energy Storage (TES), a storage stank for chilled water, is introduced for strategic load management. It has the capability to take supplement the load needed during the daytime by taking advantage of idling capacity and lower tariff rates during the nighttime. The first of its kind in Asia apart from Japan, Cofreth has undertaken a District Cooling System using TES technology for Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). The turnkey project is aimed at achieving these benefits:
